Set in the heart of Donegal, Bonner's Bar is a cosy, family run pub and is one of Donegal's oldest and best-loved pubs. It is An Old Worldly Pub whose walls are festooned with memorabilia galore. The pub is encased in a warm and joyful atmosphere with friendly staff and locals. The pints are mighty and so is the craic.
ABOUT BONNER'S BAR & RESTAURANT
The Pub dates from 1876 and was in the Bonner family until the late 1980's.
The pub fell to its present owners Thomas and Colleen Doherty who hail from Ballybofey and Killea.
The Doherty's took ownership of the pub in the later half of 1999 and were keen to retain the wonderful warm and inviting atmosphere this Landmark bar had to offer. Bonner's charming, old world style has kept its locals and visitors returning again and again.
Tom keeps the place warm and welcoming with a roaring fire and a friendly smile all while telling a few tales. Colleen was head chef and kept the locals going with her fabulous food that many find hard to beat. After 16 years in the Kitchen Colleen decided to take a step back from the kitchen, but, Tom continues to serve up some of the tastiest pub grub around!
